This is a price list for the most common sizes of portraits in the various media.


Graphite Drawings

Graphite portraits are done on 100lb Bristol board, and sprayed with fixative upon completion. Graphite drawings should be framed behind glass for best protection of the artwork.

Colored Pencil

Colored Pencil portraits are done on Colourfix Pastel Paper. This paper comes in a variety of colors, and I can either choose a complimentary color for the subject, or the client can tell me their preference. The drawing is sprayed with fixative upon completion. Colored Pencil drawings should be framed behind glass for best protection of the artwork.

Acrylic Painting

Acrylics are painted on stretched canvas. The finished painting will be spray-varnished for protection and enhancement of the colors. Acrylics are best framed in an open frame (no glass).

Sizes of portraits are not limited to what I have listed above. If there is a specific size you want, or for any portrait you do not see listed, please send me an email and we can discuss what you are interested in.

Please note: the prices listed above do not include backgrounds. Detailed backgrounds will be quoted on an individual basis.

I am in contact with you throughout the process of creating your portrait via email. For the drawings, I usually "dive right in" and get started once we've established the basic pose for the portrait. For the more complex paintings, I start with a sketch which I will email you and which you will approve before I start the painting. At this time we will also discuss things such as background color .

Once I am nearly finished with the painting, I will email you a scan (or digital picture) of what it looks like at this point. Oftentimes, it will be done, and sometimes there might be some adjustments that I'll need to make, based on what you see and can tell me (if something doesn't look quite right to you). Once the portrait is to your satisfaction and you approve it for shipping, payment in full is due, and the sale is final.

Once payment has been made in full after you've approved your portrait via an emailed scan or digital photo, your portrait will be mailed to you.

I accept checks, money orders, or online credit card payments through Paypal online payment service.
